The staff was helpful, but some of them not very knowledgeable.
This was misadvertised. We expected a two-room cabin. It was, essentially, one room with a partial divider between two areas. Light from either side could not be shut out of the other side. Same with noise. I wanted to sleep. My daughter wanted to watch TV. Since the room divider did not go all the way to the ceiling, the light and noise from her side made it impossible for me to sleep. In a real two-room place, it could work. I count this false advertising
Loved the staff really helpful and good source of information
The front desk had our reservation dates wrong, so the type of room we reserved was booked. Fortunately they had cabin rooms available and they were able to move us into a cabin. It was small but nice to have a couch, kitchinette, and comfortable bedding. Location was great; walking distance to everything downtown.
No breakfast; small bowl of fruit offered in the morning.
We enjoyed our short stay at Elk Country Inn. The cookies provided in the afternoon were delicious, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the little cabin was precious! We appreciated the laundry room and the hot tub very much. In Jackson, it was very close to the Tetons for our day trips, but gave us a place to relax when we returned from a day of hiking. The kitchen area was nice - a microwave, small fridge, and some dishes/silverware were great! Thanks for a wonderful stay! Would go back and would recommend it to friends!
Big rooms, well equipped kitchen, close to the airport.
Easily upgraded to a private cabin. Was super clean, like new. Beds were very comfortable. Could walk anywhere in town.
Center of town
Rooms were old and the accomodations where a bit run down, dirty. And back braking beds lookt if beds needed to be changed. There was an unsafe feeling in our building.
We have a one bedroom cabin, we can park the car right up to the front door of cabin. That was nice.
Location is good, the room is big
Don't like the smell in the room...not sure what kind of smell, not very comfortable...fortunately the window can be opened, so we get some fresh air...
Proximity to Jackson shops and restaurants was very helpful. And the chocolate chip cookies in the lobby were super!
Having a continental breakfast available would be a real plus. For older guests, the lack of elevators for 2nd floor rooms is a disadvantage.
Large, clean room with all amenities. Love those cookies, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
We stayed in a cottage which was nice because then we could spread out a little and also have some meals there which we made in the room. It also had an outdoor barbecue that we used. Walking distance from downtown area which was nice.
The stove is quite limited - 2 small electric burners, no oven. Pretty hard if you are trying to do some actual cooking. Cooking supplies were the bare basics so bring your own if you want to do anything special at all.
Scott let us check in really early (11:00am) because we had to pick up another guest at the airport and had no room in our car for the extra luggage. We just wanted the hotel to hotel to hold our bags, but Scott was gracious enough to let us check in early! Scott is the MAN!
No dislikes. Everything was great.
Easy walking distance to the heart of the shopping and eating areas but far enough from the centre for relative peace and quiet and also easy access to out of town roads
Close to all the town's amenities without being right in the middle of the crowds.
